Meet the Wolfies: Fred and Elsie

Fred was saved from Death Row at Hawkesbury Pound as a 6 month old puppy with big puppy feet in August 2007. He's crossed with a mixture of things including mastiff and great dane. At his peak he weighed 52kilos, but these days is a more sedate 42 kilos. He's a sweethearted pillow with feet, and has been known to run behind me to protect him from jack russell and maltese terriers. Nothing like being dragged along at breakneck speed as Fred flees from a dog the size of his paw..  To read more about Fred

Elsie came from Queanbeyan Pound after being left in their overnight cages one September night in 2010. She was flea-bitten, stunk to high heaven and was skinny as a rake. She passed away in April 2015 suddenly at the young age of 5 to lymphosarcoma. She was my girl, and I miss her every day.

Fred and Elsie now spend their days high on the hill looking out to the view that Elsie was always enamoured with, and we visit often.
